Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Operations Specialist to join a small but growing team. The Senior Compliance Operations Specialist will report to the Compliance Operations Manager and work closely with the Sales and Operations teams. The Senior Compliance Operations Specialist will be responsible for the evaluation of prospective partner legal entities by conducting business and operational due diligence reviews.

The Compliance Operations team operates globally with responsibility for managing client due diligence reviews, partner due diligence reviews, name screening alert resolution, and blockchain investigations.

Core Responsibilities

• Conducting business and operational due diligence reviews on potential partners

• Reviewing due diligence questionnaires and corresponding legal documentation to identify potential concerns and identify the need for further documentation

• Reviewing partner companies’ corporate structures and beneficial ownership

• Confirming registrations and licenses

• Identifying potential risks

• Meticulously documenting of research and any operational concerns identified

• Presenting detailed due diligence reports and recommendations to the Compliance Operations Manager

• Exhibiting “white glove” service for potential partners and the business development team, providing timely responses, clear feedback and professional communication

• Maintaining a tracker of escalations and meeting internal SLAs for completion of reviews

• Willingness to assist with customer due diligence, name screening, and blockchain investigations as needed

• Willingness to assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives

• 4+ years of experience in the banking or investment industry, specializing in B2B due diligence (investment manager, equity research, portfolio management, account management)

• Natural curiosity, attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution

• Fluent in English; any additional language abilities are a plus (we operate globally!)

• Knowledge of blockchain technology and blockchain investigations preferred

• Genuine enthusiasm and curiosity about fintech and crypto

• Advanced degree, such as MBA, MS, or JD, preferred

• Relevant compliance qualifications (ACAMS, ACFCS, ICA) preferred

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
