Role Overview

We’re looking for a Chief Financial Officer to oversee and ensure progressive development of financial strategy: set goals, plan, identify, forecast and address financial risks and opportunities for the company. This also includes close cooperation with co-founders in financial management, forward-looking decisions at the international level.


Core Responsibilities

  • taking care of company budgeting and controlling,

  • reporting directly to the CEO,

  • managing financial statements, treasury area, costs and plan forward-thinking business strategies,

  • supervising finance and accounting on international structures - the company is headquartered in the US and operating all over the world with subsidiaries in the UK and Poland,

  • working with and for various stakeholders (including 3rd party vendors),

  • implementing & leading cash planning mechanism, financial processes, cost control, revenue recognition and pricing model with CEO,

  • supporting co-founders in mapping out fundraising processes,

  • supervising the development and implementation of the tax strategy (locally and internationally),

  • providing financial liquidity and cash flow management,

  • working in a brilliant team in Warsaw and London.

Requirements

  • hands-on executive experience in fast-growing and scaling financial/technology company or venture-backed startup,
  • experience in working with international companies and reviewing external contacts is a must (it would be great if these were companies from the United States, United Kingdom and Poland),

  • understanding of financial analysis, forecasting and budget methods,

  • passion or at least interest in the cryptocurrency or fintech market,

  • able to manage complexity, prioritize tasks effectively with a can-do attitude,

  • defaulting to a data-driven decision-making process,

  • strategic planning and problem-solving skills,

  • nice to have: experience working with tax advisors on international tax planning,

  • nice to have: experience in venture capitals round or in executing share options grants.
