Role Overview

We are looking forward to meeting AML / Fraud Data Scientist to help identify and analyse fraud patterns and risks.

As a new Data Team in Ramp, we are starting with data integration, sustainable Descriptive analytics and A/B testing. But we are rapidly moving towards Predictive and Prescriptive analytics. You will be working closely with the Product Team to make high-impact, data-informed decisions regarding future product development.

We are flexible - we could cooperate on a long-term basis (joining our core team with ESOP, paid holidays and other standard startup goodies) or short-term consultancy; remotely or on-site (relocation possible) in the centre of Warsaw, Wroclaw or London.


Core Responsibilities

• improving of fraud models and AML models

• using analytics to improve important performance metrics such as fraud losses, false positives, and operational efficiency

• performing investigative analyses using structured and unstructured data in order to identify predictive features, detect patterns & trends, and optimize rules/strategies

• working with engineers to evangelize data best practices

• understanding key challenges facing our business and partnering with key stakeholders to find creative ways to apply data science to solve them

• communicating findings and actionable insights to relevant stakeholders

• contributing to the best practices in data quality & security

• at least +2 years of experience in analytical position

• experience in development of fraud models or AML models

• being proficient in running SQL queries

• excellent communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data driven insights

• experience in using Python for building Data Science models

• experience in using BigQuery, dbt (Data Build Tool), version control tool (e.g. Git) is a plus

• experience in integration of different data sources (Google Analytics, transaction data, other external data) and implement data flows is a plus

• experience in A/B testing and data-driven optimization efforts is a plus

• being friendly and professional, excited by the possibilities of working on the intersection of FinTech and blockchain (blockchain experience is a plus)
